As we pause this Thanksgiving season to consider what we’re grateful for, I’m struck by the abundance of truly incredible reasons we have for giving thanks this year. And so, as we reflect, I’d like to share some of these reasons with you and invite you to join in our gratitude:
We’re thankful for:
- The way members help one another cultivate hope and support one another amid challenges and struggles.
- The ability to offer nutritious meals that provide not only sustenance but rhythm and connection.
- Volunteers who introduce others—especially the next generation—to serving at the Well.
- Visits from caring neighbors from our larger community who give our members fun and beneficial experiences, from craft projects to interacting with therapy dogs.
- A weekly opportunity to worship as a community, thanks to the many volunteers who serve at Thursday Night Life.
- A place where our members can access necessities, such as shoes, clothing and personal care items, when they have no way to pay for them.
- Enthusiastic and conscientious interns who come to the Well Community ready to both serve and learn.
- Generous donors who enabled us to exceed our North Texas Giving Day goal.
- The many sponsors, underwriters and donors who made our annual fundraising party, Monster Mash Halloween Bash, a spooky success.
- A safe, stable place where men who otherwise would be homeless live in community.
- Kind donors who give all year round to make all of this possible.
For all of these things, we are greatly grateful! And, as you see yourself represented in this list, I hope you’ll feel deep joy in knowing what a difference you are making in the lives of our members.
With Gratitude,
