A Well World: Look for the Helpers

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” – Fred Rogers

You have probably seen this quote often in the last month or so. I have seen it too, but not just on social media. I have seen it alive, up close and in person at The Well Community.

We have seen a steady stream of people go above and beyond to help us serve our members as they navigate the COVID-19 health crisis. From providing lunches to dropping off essential hygiene items to taping inspirational messages to giving extraordinary financial donations, our broader Well Community has stepped up to be the helpers.

Below is a slideshow we put together to highlight what our helpers have made happen, but also to remind you of a unique COVID-19 giving opportunity. On Tuesday, May 5 from 6 a.m. to midnight, community groups have set up a special North Texas Giving Tuesday Now. Early Giving is open now through Tuesday, May 4.

Donations made at northtexasgivingday.org/the-well-community go directly to The Well Community to help us keep our members healthy, safe and stable. If you prefer, you can mail a check directly to The Well Community, 125 Sunset Avenue, Dallas, TX 75208.

A huge shoutout to all the helpers,

Alice
