Every year, North Texas Giving Day reminds us of how the generosity of our local community makes the community at the Well possible. This year was no exception! Together, 86 donors gave $75,947!
As we celebrate their partnership, we’re deeply grateful that year after year, gift after gift, our community surrounds us with support. I suspect that’s because they know that North Texas Giving Day donations, like all gifts to the Well Community, don’t just provide things. These gifts are investments in stability and belonging for our members—ones that impact our members many times over.
For instance, the $50 that covers the cost of a case management session doesn’t just pay for the time one of our staff spends with a member. It unlocks solutions to problems and links members with resources, from help with accessing benefits to assistance with filling a prescription.
Likewise, the $500 that pays for a month of nutritious meals at Jacob’s House doesn’t only provide food. It gives the men who live at our group home consistent times of fellowship and connection, as well as the stability of knowing they don’t need to worry about being hungry.
The gifts we receive each September help our members throughout the year, and all year round we are so grateful for our generous community. To all who gave this North Texas Giving Day, THANK YOU!
