"Every day at the Well is Thanksgiving Day," Joel Pulis reminded members at the Thursday Night Life dinner and worship service. In his message, based on the Bible passages John 13:1-15; 34-35, Joel pointed out how Jesus is the one who serves his disciples by washing the dirty places of their lives. He is the example of how to care for others. "The reason the Well has been able to be here for 20 years," Joel explained, "is because we care for each other." Then he asked the members what ways they have been cared for recently. Responses included:
- "This service helps to keep me on the straight and narrow."
- "The Well brings me food, even when I can't get here."
- "My family takes great care of me, especially my daughter."
About 50 members and friends enjoyed the evening. Worship music was led by Josh Pulis and several Well members.
The Well Community Board of Directors provided and served the meal. Volunteers and guests included Deborah Pulis, Janis and James Pulis, Josh Pulis, Kay Frierson, Dan Walston, Kristi and Scott Coleman, Violet Lane, Cerena Fain, Vickie Fisk and Jim Dowsett.
Cliff Temple Baptist Church's new pastor, Gannon Sims with his wife, Casey, and Executive Pastor, Kenny Cheshier, also joined in on the worship and meal time.
