The Well Community’s Recovery Live! 2018 promises to continue the annual tradition of great music and great fun for a great cause.
This year we invite you into the Golden Age and the “Années folles” of the 1920’s. Travel back in time with us to the infamous decade characterized by economic prosperity, popular jazz music and unforgettable fashion trends. To set the stage, Recovery Live! 2018 will be held in the newly restored Historic Eagle Ford School, where Bonnie Parker—of Bonnie and Clyde fame—attended as a child.
Don your best long rope pearls, flapper-style dress, fedora hat or double-breasted vest. But don’t worry, the party attire isn’t as difficult as it sounds! Check out this link for glamorous flapper ideas and look here for suggestions for dashing gents.
Come ready to practice your best Lindy Hop and Fox Trot as the Texas Gypsies bring their unique mix of jazz, swing and other sounds of the Great Gatsby era. We’ll also enjoy local young talent with our Neighborhood Spotlight musicians.
Proceeds benefit The Well Community, a nonprofit organization serving adults living with severe mental illnesses and related challenges of poverty, limited access to care and isolation.
