Founders Award 2019

Overview

Those who struggle with mental illness are thirsty for acceptance, support and meaningful relationships.  Offering hope and healing through best-practice interventions, friendships and the power of faith, The Well Community provides a place to belong.  The Well’s philosophy of holistic care in a restorative environment combine to make a significant impact upon those we are called to serve. Each year, through our Founder’s Award, we recognize an individual who has worked to improve understanding, awareness and services for individuals and families impacted by severe mental health conditions.

Eligibility

We wish to honor a person in the Dallas area who has given exemplary time and effort toward addressing stigma, treatment and advocacy related to mental illnesses. 

Important Dates

Nomination Process Begins                               January 2, 2019

Nomination Process Ends                                  January 20, 2019

Award Presentation and Event                         April 4, 2019

Submission

In presenting a nominee, all of the following must be included and submitted in writing.

  • Nomination Form  
  • Nominee’s current Curriculum Vita (CV)
  • Two additional letters of support from individuals familiar with the nominees’ work.

Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2019

Selection

All nominees will be reviewed by a committee of The Well Community’s Board of Directors and award recipient will be selected from their recommendations.
