A Well World: A Source of Continual Supply

Last week we held a virtual version of our WellSpring Celebration. We were so glad to have a good turnout to watch the presentation, and so grateful for the nearly 60 individuals and businesses who collectively gave over $38,000 to make the event a great success.

I especially want to give a shoutout to Michelle Staubach Grimes, our featured guest, and Brett Shipp, who led our conversation with Michelle and also served as our emcee. Our tremendous thanks also to Elizabeth and Ryan Schorman with GratiFILM, who filmed and produced the WellSpring Celebration program.

We also enjoyed comments from Shelly Meyers with Matthew about his experience at Jacob’s House. We were encouraged by the kind words from donors Ellen and John McStay, as well as Alma Rubio and Laura Sanchez of La Calle Doce.

It was our honor to award Diann Warnock as the 2021 recipient of The Well’s Founder’s Award, as well as NAMI North Texas, which received our Courage and Advocacy Award.

In 2019 we launched the WellSpring Celebration as our annual springtime fundraiser. The word wellspring means “an original and bountiful source” or “a source of continual supply.”

Of course, our WellSpring program celebrates the suppliers, but we also rejoice with the people who are nourished by that perpetual flow of support. We celebrate The Well members whose lives are more stable, more meaningful, more enriched because they have found a community where they belong, where stigma is stamped out and dignity is restored.

So, a special thanks goes to our WellSpring 2021 sponsors and donors who are a part of the “bountiful source” that makes The Well Community possible. Take a look at the video below to see who these folks are, and join us in continually celebrating their generosity.
